Ghibli 2000<\/h2>

The Ghibli 2000 shot blasting machine is equipped for the wire blasting of large parts that can have the full height of the shot blasting chamber.
All internal parts subject to the stress of shot blasting are lined with high-manganese steel armours.<\/p>

Description of a standard shot blasting process<\/h2>

The machine is equipped with two workpiece hooks that slide on two separate rails.
The sliding carriages, mounted on bearings, are moved by the operator to the entrance of the blast chamber.<\/p>

Operations performed by the operator<\/h3>

The following operations can be performed by the operator:
\u2022 Turn on the control panel and activate all sensors;
\u2022 Select the treatment recipe on the touch screen;
\u2022 Press the “Start Cycle” button;<\/p>

Running the shot blasting cycle<\/h2>

The hook pull unit kicks in, gripping the hook and pulling it into the blast chamber until it intercepts the “First Shot Blasting Position” end switch.<\/p>

The doors close automatically; Once closed, the turbine motors start via an inverter and soft start.<\/p>

Once the turbine motors reach the speed set in the recipe, the abrasive metering valves open automatically and remain open for the duration of the “First Shot Blasting Position” defined in the recipe.<\/p>

During the shot blasting phase, the hook is activated as described in the section “Workpiece Rotation Unit”.<\/p>

At the end of the first blasting time, the abrasive dosing valves close and the hook drive moves the hook 100 mm until it intercepts the “Second Blasting Position” limit switch.<\/p>

The workpiece rotation unit resets the hook crown, reversing the direction of rotation for the duration defined in the recipe.
The abrasive metering valves reopen until the end of the defined time.<\/p>

At the end of the sandblasting cycle, once the chamber dusting time has elapsed, an audible and visual alarm signals the opening of the doors.<\/p>

The hook drive then transports the batch of parts to the entrance of the blast chamber, and the operator can move the hook to the end of the rail and start a new blast cycle.<\/p>

Process Recipes<\/h2>

The automatic operating cycle uses “process recipes”, each of which can be associated with an alphanumeric name (e.g., job number or item name).<\/p>

The parameters that make up the process recipe are:
\u2022 number of turbines used;
\u2022 Turbine rotational speed;
\u2022 time of the first sanding;
\u2022 time of the second sanding;
\u2022 Dusting time.<\/p>

The Ghibli 2000 hook shot blasting machine is designed for high production for the processing of parts of any shape, mainly in steel.<\/p>
