Turbine Tumble Shot Blasting Machine: High-Performance Productivity and Bulk Processing
The turbine tumble shot blasting machine, also known as a tumble belt shot blasting machine or tumble blast machine, is a benchmark solution for the automatic surface treatment of large quantities of bulk parts.
It efficiently performs shot blasting, descaling, industrial cleaning, and surface preparation on large batches of small and medium-sized parts.
Its production capacity is directly linked to the shot blasting chamber volume, making it an ideal machine for high-cadence industrial environments.
When to Choose a Bulk Shot Blasting Machine?
Before transitioning from manual sandblasting to bulk shot blasting, an essential question must be asked: Can the parts touch each other during treatment?
If the answer is yes, the tumble shot blasting machine is the most effective solution.
Within minutes, the shot projected by high-speed turbines uniformly impacts all parts, ensuring excellent surface preparation quality.
Operating Principle: The Cradle Effect
The core of the machine relies on a U-shaped conveyor belt, also called a cradle, made of reinforced rubber or steel links.
Loading:
Parts are directly loaded into the machine, either manually or via a hydraulic loader.
Tumbling:
The belt starts moving, causing the continuous tumbling of parts, similar to a washing machine drum.
Shot Blasting:
During rotation, one or more high-power shot blasting turbines project the shot at high speed.
This movement ensures that all surfaces of each part are exposed to the abrasive jet.
Unloading:
At the end of the cycle, the belt's rotation direction is reversed, and the parts are automatically ejected into a collection bin.
This system is specifically designed for parts that can be mixed without risk.
Typical Applications of Tumble Shot Blasting Machines
These machines are perfectly suited for the treatment of:
• bolts, screws, nuts, springs
• small metal parts in large series
• robust foundry parts
• engine casings
• cast iron or solid aluminum parts
• forged parts
• hand tools
• parts after heat treatment to remove mill scale
Essential criterion: the part must be able to withstand slight impacts due to tumbling during the cycle.
Robust Design and Wear Resistance
All our shot blasting machines are designed for intensive industrial environments.
They integrate manganese steel linings protecting areas exposed to abrasion, thus ensuring high durability and reduced maintenance.
The machines are compatible with
• spherical shot
• angular abrasives
